Five for Friday - November 25

Wow! Thanksgiving has come and gone... I can't believe it's almost Christmas! I've had a blast this week spending time with my family! Today, I'm linking up with Doodlebugs Teaching for...
Here are some FUN happenings from this glorious week off!!!!!
My sister and her family and Brodie and I went to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The movie was, well, fantastic!!!  I LOVE Harry Potter, so when I found out this movie was in theaters, I was there. I'm trying to get my son to read the Harry Potter books, but haven't been successful! Here is a picture from the photo booth at the movie theater!
My husband and I got married on June 1, 2002! After the big day, my wedding dress was professionally cleaned and properly packed in a box to last forever! That dress has been through a few moves, including our big move from California to Texas. Well, I got to the point where I was tired of it taking up so much space (the box was HUGE)! I wanted to donate it to a good cause. The charity organizations I looked at either weren't accepting dresses or only wanted dresses that were less than 5 years old! So, to make a long story short... my mother-in-law knows someone who makes burial outfits for angel babies. My prayers had been answered!! That was exactly how I wanted my dress to be used!! I couldn't imagine the heartbreak of losing a child, so I wanted to help those families just a bit by providing them with a beautiful burial gown for their angel! Below is a picture of the gowns made from my wedding dress! They're gorgeous!
WE GOT A NEW CAR!! Even though this happened a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to include it now since I am super excited! We went from a 2007 Ford F150 to a brand new Subaru Outback! It's top the line with eyesight, heated seats, you name it... we absolutely LOVE it! Our truck had 137,000 miles on it and was basically a ticking time bomb!
This week has been amazing... I have been able to work on TpT products. I can't wait until Christmas Break now so that I have a lot of time to work on my fun ideas! Here are two that I listed this week, and I have to say I'm pretty proud of them! Click on the photos below to snag these labels!
AND... to top off my wonderful AND exciting Thanksgiving Break... I got a REALLY great deal on an elliptical machine that my principal happened to be selling! I like to catch up on my favorite TV shows (or even re-watch old shows that I LOVE) when I have a few extra minutes. So, my wonderful husband put up one of our old TV's and bought a Roku for me to watch TV while I'm on the elliptical. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone... I love it! (For all you out there with OCD, the TV is off center because that's where the studs were - YES, it bothers me and my husband, too...he he)!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! It's about time to prep for next week!!

  2. I agree - I love how you "recycled" your wedding gown - I've never heard of doing this, but I love it! Congrats on the new car! Heated seats = the BEST! Love your argyles in your blog design!

    1. There are quite a few charities that you can donate wedding dresses to. I loved the idea that my dress help those poor families who lose a child so young! I love my blog design! Thanks for the compliment!
